People! If you were to recommend a small variety of West Wing episodes to get someone into the show, which would you choose?
Coworker N needs a new boxset, I recommended West Wing, he says 'isn't that a show about politics?', it's an age-old story.
So. West Wing is one of the few shows where I'm happy recommending the pilot. (As opposed to Buffy, where it would not be any of my first ten choices. Veronica Mars is probably one of the other few where I think that everyone is already in their stride AND it's representative of what the show is like as it goes on.) CJ is ill-served in the Pilot, but it's a good intro episode nonetheless, and it's funny, well-paced etc etc. I don't want to give him anything continuity-heavy/reliant on emotional arcs, which won't have full impact out of order.
I was thinking maybe Celestial Navigation? In This White House has Ainsley (though it does reference the shooting I guess). The Portland Trip/Shibboleth/Galileo?
(And now back to watching Big Bang Theory and avoiding human contact)
