I'll play you for it. Rock, paper, scissors / Why don't you just tell me who wins? / I do. Excellent

I've read a sad six books so far this year, and Stephenie Meyer wrote four of them. This troubles me greatly, especially with number five sitting on the floor beside me. Brother2 and I have been spending a worrying amount of time blinking at each other, calling out increasingly ridiculous plot-points and/or examples of the agenda pushing. And then shaking our heads and pondering how we still can't not read them. Plus the obvious bonding over the awesomeness of Alice, Jasper, and Carlisle. And we both kind of like Jacob when he's not being an idiot.

Don't suppose anybody's read any good fics? Preferably Edward/Bella/Jacob (possibly post Breaking Dawn, in the 6.5 year wait). Or any of the Cullens really. And then I read a Jacob/Leah Jacob/Seth that I really liked, so I guess I just mean anything worth reading (probably not Edward/Bella or Bella/Jacob, unless it really unpicks the canon issues). Otherwise I'm gonna have to write my second fic in two days, and it will almost certainly be vampire/vampire/werewolf porn...

In other news, go read this: Every Small and Every Significant Thing by raedbard, for me, because I am lucky that way. Sam/Toby, a sequel to the amazing academic AU Maps of Other Places.

Beyond that, birthday was fine. I'm so glad to be home, but already braced to go back, because I'm cheerful that way. Received pretty DVDs (Newsies all for myself! Dr Horrible!) and clothes, and theatre tickets. I'm not really happy about this growing up business though. Maybe I should go play with the vampires instead ;)
