but I think i comprehend what this post speaks of. The difference between the two of us, however, is that I was born into a place like that, and didn't have the displeasure to move there.

The problem with everyone, basically, is that they have no interest in things outside of their own experience.

I don't think it's just Frostburg. I think the whole world is prone to this attitude, but somehow it's more noticeable in small towns. And that makes me so angry-when people don't want something better for themselves. Or when people REALLY, TRULY, believe that there is no world outside of their own.

I also know what you mean about the witness girls having no higher ambition, also. Around here, if you make it to your early twenties without getting married, even the elders start to look at you like something is wrong. And when you do begin to date someone, if you date them any longer than a year, then you're dating just "for fun". As if you're supposed to decide who to spend the rest of your life with in only 365 days. Pssshh! An environment like that is very discouraging, and really just proves my theory on faith in people to be true.

I just stumbled across your journal, and I do not think this entry was too long. I read it like I read my favourite author. Might we be friends?

I moved from Metro Detroit to Frostburg MD, because my family and I wanted to do more spiritually. There are good points, but it's still nice to talk to someone about the bad too. It gets a little better everyday.

We could be friends I think. My name is Parris
