Yet another lovely weekend! On Thursday evening I went to Basingstoke and stayed over at Dave's so that I wouldn't have to get up early on Friday. We chatted and I painted some of his Warhammer scenery- which was great! Dave was making scenery though and I must say his rocks looked pretty cool... even though I did demand bush coming out of one of the holes! We watched "The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring", which I haven't seen in ages and it is still as good as I remember. I must say that I felt a bit of an uber-geek, but I really don't care!

I dragged my arse up and out to Winchester on Friday morning, stopping by Waterstone's to leave my bags and say an initial "hello" to everyone. I stopped via W H Smith to get stationary and Reeves for a lovely chicken patty (oh so good- I miss Reeves) before heading on to the univesity library. I was in the library for nearly 4 hours and spent £10 on photocopying! It means I have 400 book pages to read, but at least it'll help with my dissertation!

I then had to do something more mind-freeing, so went to the Debenhams sale and got 2 pairs of trousers for £20, which is always good! Stewart then joined me and we headed to The Oak for food and drinkies. We were joined by some Waterstone's people and had a really good time. I miss Winchester and the people in it. Well, mostly of course!

Saturday was spent briefly in Basingstoke- we both bought lotions and potions from Boots and stuff in HMV- before getting ready to go to The Rack in the evening. I was told that I was officially "the dancefloor in a box" and I hope I lived up to it! We got a little drunk and I danced and had a great time! It was a shame it was quiet, but it was well worth it. It did make me miss some of the old Fells crew, especially "the Americans", and it would be so lovely for them to come back. It would've made it even better!

Sunday we watched Dave play with his soldiers with a group of other guys (that sounds so much worse now I've written it) and it was great! I really want to paint soldiers now! Maybe even learn to play and become even more of a geek! Still, if I wear a low enough top it'd be funny to see what happens if I ever go in to a Games Workshop and know what I'm talking about!
