OH MY GOD. JUST WHAT THE HECK!!! *screams*
ARGH. I am SO emotional now. So DAMN FREAKING ANGRY too.
Stupid Newsweek promoting job. My boss is a SUCKER. I've been working for 4 days now at this junior college all the way on the other side of the island and my commissions have been plummeting. It's a natural occurance when it comes to getting students in colleges to subscribe for a magazine. You get lots for the first 2 days, and the numbers dwindle and eventually die off.
First 2 days, I managed to get 56 names in total. Rendering me $56 total. And, for yesterday and today, I only got 8 names. You guys see the difference?
There are like, 5 workers manning the booth at each working day, and even if there were 3, they will still be able to manage. 5 workers competing for 5 students equal 1 worker earning a measly $1 each.
My buddy could only get 2 names on Monday, making her earn only $2 in 4 hours! That's like, $0.50 per hour?! Hello?!?! *knocks Newsweek people's head* You magazine people earn so much from each subscription, you guys win SIX international awards, and THAT'S how you treat your promoters?! HELLO!?!?
Anyway, I smsed my boss just now to quit this stupid job, and you know what he called back:----
boss: XX, what do you mean huh? You sent me a message saying you don't want to work anymore?! *using the I AM YOUR BOSS AND YOU"RE CHEATING ME tactic* What's the meaning of this? You agreed to work through the end of everything! This is very unfair to me!
me: What about me? I'm like working for free for the past 2 days! I'm not going to continue working for just $1 a day! *explains the decrease in number of students not wanting to write their names down and subscribe fact*
Also, my friend only got 2 names yesterday! She was working 4 hours for only $2!!
boss: *changes tactic and uses the I AM YOUR BOSS AND I CARE FOR YOU SO MUCH tactic* Okay, *discusses with his business partner cum wife* XX, I'll put you in XJC (another school even further from my current school).
me: It's too far, I don't want to work there.
boss: *discusses more* Okay, I'll call you back again before 10pm. Thank you.
boss' wife calls back few minutes later: --
bw: XX? How are you? Are you feeling better? (coz i didn't want to work today coz i had diarrhoea, but these 2 people INSISTED that they drive me to my work place so i had no choice but to work for FREE)
me: I'm fine thank you.
bw: Alright, we'll be sending you to CJC tomorrow.
me: But boss told me the promotion started last week already.
bw: *asks boss: you told her CJ started promotions last week? blah blah*
boss: Alright, we did start promotion last week, but the 2 guys ran off without doing anything. So actual promotion started yesterday.
me: I see.
boss: And today the school went to Sentosa, so we didn't go there. So tomorrow we'll be going back to sell.
me: *is doubtful about getting many students on the 4th day*
boss: There's going to be something big going on in CJ. I'll be going from class to class to give a talk on Newsweek and you'll follow me. After my talk we'll go around to collect names (now i think about it, the names for my new Scheme B means $0 for names and only $15 for subsciption PLUS the money is SHARED amongst the people. I CALL people and waste my evening free time to get a few names, and the subsciption commission is SPLIT) blah blah..
me: *is a nice person and dislikes some level of fighting with strangers* ok.

mom told me to collect my money for what i did the last few days and don't work anymore. Coz i told her about how some workers last time didn't get paid until a month later... I'll pester my boss often so he'll pay me as quickly as possible.
I guess i'm pretty dumb when it comes to the business world. Sucks when you can't get the police to catch such employers. I was wondering why it isn't so.. I mean, the people are being cheated of their labour work! They don't get paid, so how are they going to survive?
Mother just said the government will just think that these people are dumb enough to accept such unstable jobs.
This world is so damn twisted and full of vice it sucks to the very core.
I just hope I earn lots from tomorrow to Friday. And I get my pay quick. Like within days. Freaky bunch of employers.
