I've done this before and I posted it on soompi, but I'll bring it over to livejournal with some other additional info and some corrections (:

Names are not just names. They have a meaning. Every name has a meaning.
So what do Super Junior's members' names mean?

Key: KOREAN NAME (Hangul); MANDARIN CHINESE NAME -- definition for each word → complete definition

Note: To find the definition of their names, we must know their hanja counterpart, aka Chinese writing system. There are more than one definition for each word. However, the following translations should be the correct definition of their names. (If not, it's on the same road, lol.) Oh, and it's all in Traditional Chinese. (:

2) HEECHUL (희철); XI CHE -- 希 (hope) 澈 (clear) → Hopeful
3) HANKYUNG (한경); HAN GENG -- 韓 (surname) 庚 (age) → Heavenly Age
4) YESUNG (예성); YI SHENG -- 藝 (art) 聲 (voice) → Art-like Voice
5) KANGIN (강인); QIANG REN -- 強 (strength) 仁 (kindness) → Humane Strength
