Joshua
Year: 2007
Score: 2/10
Bottom Line: Wouldn't wish this on the ex

My Thoughts:

I really didn't like this movie. I only gave it 2/10 because the kid playing Joshua ended up playing the young Spock in the Star Trek reboot. It deserves at least that much for bringing the kid into the limelight. He really is a good little actor. His character in this movie, however, is completely reprehensible. Were he my child, I would have turned him over my knee. He actually is the epitome of the rich, entitled brat.

Brad and Abby are an uppercrust couple raising their son, Joshua, in a high rise apartment, giving him the best of everything. Then Lily is born. See, Abby had severe postpartum depression after Joshua was born, and she and Brad had decided to wait a good long while before having more kids, if at all. Joshua is so used to being the center of attention, he begins to take offense at his new baby sister and the love everyone shows her. But this isn't your typical psycho kid tries to get rid of his baby sister. He tries to get rid of everyone else.

You don't really find out Joshua's goal until the end of the movie. And let's just say it's a little lame of an ending. I wasn't impressed with it at all. I expected more from this movie. If you want a really good bad kid movie, rent Orphan instead :) One thing I will give props to is the fact that Sam Rockwell didn't completely act like a coked-out spaz in the movie. I'm obviously not a fan haha

movie: horror, movie: suspense
