Work has been a little calm over the past few days and decided to take off on Friday and of course taking off is always a wise thing to do.
Friday was good, started off with the usual chores and some work for the dream home. Spent most of the time with “A “.
Saturday, guilt took over and I finally decided to visit Grand dad and spend time with him. Went to Malleshwaram and boy o boy, the place has changed drastically. But these changes definitely brought about some change in the traffic. It took us less than a minute to find parking and walk down the 8th Cross. Did some shopping (Yes! Now I seem to be using this word even in my sleep). Malleshwaram brings a lot of old memories back.
Finally went to visit Grand dad and spent some time having some friendly fights. Wow, it did come as a welcome for both of us. Couldn’t help but look at Grandma’s photo. I miss her so much! All those days of fun during summer vacation. I remember how eager she used to be to see us. I’ve had the most delicious food then. Even a small biscuit used to be shared amongst all the grandchildren evenly.
Every corner I was reminded of the small talks we used to have, all the mischief and her yelling at us. She is missed a lot always and forever!
Went home quite late, and both Amma and I were very glad about spending time with Granddad.
Then came Sunday, with “A “making plans every 5 minutes and vanishing. Finally Nandi Hills happened and I was picked up at 4 Pm with the scheduled time of pick up being 2.45 J Yeah! nothing unusual.
It was quite a drive and with the VVS Boys singing for the Back Street Boys….Man , that day I was surprised at the keen interest that boys had for the so called “ Chick Songs “.
Every single word and phrase was prefect with the right tones and tunes in place, they took my be surprise totally!!! Yeah! Boys!!!! They want it that way ;)
Finally reached Nandi hills around 5.30 Pm and it was a great weather and a great view. Walked for a while, had hot chai, with chips and walked towards Tipu Drop. The entire view reminded me of Dil Chahta Hai, with a slight difference. There was no Jhahaas, there was only Hawai JhahaasJ.
Finally it was 7.30Pm when everyone decided that it was pretty late to be staying there and we head back towards our cars to have dinner.
Met at Neel for dinner to discuss yet another trip that seems very challenging at the moment. I hope it works this time!
So there goes a perfect weekend J looking forward to more such weekends!
