In conversation the other day, I noted that apparently in Athens, the equivalent to going to a vending machine for food would be ducking out and grabbing a snack from one of the near-ubiquitous corner kiosks.
When stopping at the kiosk by the hospital across the street from me to get a bottle of Coke, though, I realized that the parallel doesn't quite work.
Unless someone's encountered a vending machine which dispenses three-star brandy?
