Why Helllllllo There...
Long time no journal.
I really don't remember what I wrote or when I wrote last. BUT heres whats recent in my memory.
Sunday was the banquet. I overslept and didnt make it to the church for 11, but Glenn and I did manage to finish the baskets in a half an hour! All that last minute stuco stuff in high school paid off.
Overnight Sunday was aight. Kinda slow but what ya gonna do. KCo, Ross and some kid I don't know visited, probably just to get free food, but I don't mind as long as I'm not alone and bored out of my mind trying to understand Bruno. Kev and Ross said theyd be back at 4 for breakfast, I doubted it, and my doubts were correct.
Monday, overnight AGAIN. And AGAIN a visit from Kev and Ross. They apologized for not coming, and said they fell asleep, but this time they called me afdter they left and said to call them at 4:30 to wake them up so they could come to breakfast at 5...when I did, they picked up and hung up. I probably woulda done the same thing.
Tuesday--Me Anna Sarah Val Nicole Andrea and Katie went to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate Jackies 20TH birthday. It was fun, even the 70-85 minute wait for a table.
Wednesday I closed. Gave Jeremy a ride home, but not before he chilled at my house till 2:30 playing video games downstairs. He said he would chill with me one night during overnight, just to keep my company. Good kid that Jdawg...I hope.
Thursday night Kate, Juli , Anna and I went Minigolfing. It was fun.
Friday Anna and I went to the rest of Alices retreat. Lil talk, movie on Mother Teresa and then another talk. It was ok I guess, but Anna and I think the adults were blind to the rudeness/apathy of the kids. They said they were well behaved, but we found otherwise. There was this chastity magazine, that Anna and I took to read. It's realllly good. Miss America helps promote abstinence and waitingf till marriage, and it helpying to push for teaching of abstinence in schools. You Go Girl!...then there was all these stories of people who waited till marriage, like 38 year old basketball player AC Green (??) and Kirk Cameron, etc. It was interesting....I read it during the dreaded overnight that:
I did last night. It was ok though. Having Derrick there was better than having a crew person, bc he takes orders, money, and knows what to do in case a customer complains. On the down side...last night we called the police 2 times...the 2nd time bc there was a fight. Some guy ended up being stabbed with a broken beer bottle in the face. It was so deep they couldn't get it out...YIKES.
Now after typing that, I realize that Ummm....McDonald's has pretty much stolen my summer every day. I really only have 2 days "off" a week...sometimes its the day after an overnight...so its technically not a day off.
I neeeeeeeeeed a vacation! BUT I don't get a paid vacation till January. Even then it's only a week. Ay ay ay ay...
I don't wanna sleep all day, then not be able to sleep tonight, but I need to at least take a brief nap.
