Brandee's health

All night at work on Wed March 22, my left jaw was sore as well as the roof of my mouth on the left side (I thought I'd developed a cold sore on the roof of my mouth.) By the time I went to bed Thursday morning the soreness had spread down to my upper throat where I had a sore and swollen lymph node. Sleeping was uncomfortable and by the time I got up Thursday afternoon, I went to Urgent Care. Strangely enough, the swelling around the lymph node had mostly gone away by then.

I was told it's not a cold sore and was given antibiotics just in case, it was an infection but since the swelling has gone down already it seemed unlikely. The person I saw said she wasn't really sure what it was but to come back if it didn't get better after a few days.

addendum: Ended up going to a "regular" doctor appointment a few days later and 2 different doctors looked in my mouth because what they think it is (a form of herpes, Shingles) was not something they had ever seen orally, so the first doctor wanted a 2nd opinion. I was given anti-viral medication and we saw an improvement within 24 hours, practically back to normal after 3 days. Being on the right medication sure makes a difference.
