Oh, man, it's time to be back at Oberlin now. Jesse and I were walking down seventh ave tonight and we passed the pizza place across the street from 321, and Jesse whispers under his breath: "babies." and I realize he's right. They are. The girls in all their ripped-jeans big-hair small-chest "sex appeal" are really just babies as we were I suppose when our age group was them. And I felt lonely, old even- old for seventh avenue. Is it just me or does 7th avenue belong to the tweens and the babies and the gay 40somethings and the mommies with strollers and not the college kids, not anymore, not ever? the only thing keeping me here right now are the brightly lit streets and a comfy nights sleep and mom and dad too, and I know I'll miss home two or three months down the road- but for right now, I miss home.
