It's been a quiet day so far. Chris & I walked over to the diner & had breakfast this morning. Then we came home and decided to take down the Christmas tree and decorations. The poor tree has basically become a playground for the cats anyway. It's funny how everyone is always so happy to help put the tree up & decorate but when it's time to put everything away everyone makes themselves scarce.
We're watching the Giants game while we're working. So far, it's not looking too good for the Giants. Usually I spend any Playoff Game Days with my dad. The Giants have always been something he and I have in common. Even when things were at their worst between us we could always watch the games together.
But due to my dad's cataracts, which he has thus far refused to do anything about, he now sits a chair directly in front of the tv & has his face about six inches from the screen. He kind of reminds me of that ice skater Nancy Kerrigan's mother watching her skate (that's kind of an obscure reference which probably won't make sense to anyone who doesn't follow ice skating that much). Anyway, it makes it impossible for anyone else to see the tv.
My dad and my uncle actually have season tickets but they sold their seats for this game. In order to keep buying the seats every year (which get more and more expensive), they have to sell a lot of games and they always get a good amount for playoff games. If the Giants make it to the next round, my uncle & I will probably keep two tickets for ourselves and sell the other two as a compromise.
