I am ready to start strangling people, I really am. So I started having some issues with my computer and I rebooted and then some of my stuff wouldn't work. Mainly AIM. It wouldn't even start. It'd come up and then go away. So I decided to do a system restore because I'd been attempting to install some anti-virus software the last couple of days and thought maybe that stuff was the problem and a system restore was the way to go. Well, it rebooted and came up with the black screen with a bunch of white lettering that said "start windows normally" so I hit enter. Then it acted like it was going to start up and then that black screen came up again with "start windows normally" or "Launch start up repair" so I hit "start windows normally" again. And yet again the black page with the white writing came up. So I hit "launch start up repair" because I figured it was going to just keep doing that until I did. That was at about 530 this morning. It's STILL "attempting repairs" 5.5 hours later. So I decided to call Dell support and see if they could help me out with this issue since my computer is still under warranty. The thing is, this isn't a hardware issue, it's a software issue. Since it's a software issue I would have to PAY them for help resolving it. $130 for phone support and $300 for someone to come look at my computer. Because they only handle hardware issues.

Well, fuck you very much, Dell.

I should add that when I try to cancel the start up repair process it says it can't be canceled. But it dangles that "Cancel" button in front of me like I can actually use it. Ugh.
