Hi, Livejournal.

I keep forgetting you exist. I need an easy way to crosspost all of my blog stuff, that way you don't go unnoticed.

The interface is great, the sense of community is strong, there's just no excitement to it and most everyone I keep up with on Twitter or Facebook.

Yeah. It is great internally but it's generally a very "closed loop system". So on one hand, you can get a good community going inside with a nice interface, on the other, you're pretty much stuck with people who are here.

Yeah but that's literally everywhere. I *really* want to market my podcast to everyone but I find that Twitter and Facebook are my two biggest venues. We're partnering with TFormers.com starting with the new year but that only gives me another hunk of the pie.

There's a whole 'nother pie out there that is only one gigantic slice of people part of no social network or organized online community.

I've been complaining on Facebook that the privacy options of FB isn't more like LiveJournal. I can choose to include or exclude people on posts on an ad-hoc basis.

This is true.

I mostly just feed everything I do into Friend feed then feed THAT into things like Twitter and Facebook. Just an idea to simplify.
