Goodbye Greg

Nov 13, 2008 23:44

He was a writing friend. We "met" writing for a star trek role playing game. When we broke with the first group and started our own platform and organization, Greg came along. Caitn may remember him writing with us on the Oddy.

He was a retired LEO and still worked special events. He also referee'd little league sports and loved doing it.

He passed away on the 6th of this month. I knew something was wrong when I didn't hear from him for a week.

On top of this my neighbor came over yesterday and asked me to pick up her mail and papers. See, they have to make a fast trip north. Her mother, who was in the last stages of Alheizmers (and I know thats not spelled right but its been a long day so forgive my laziness), fell out of bed at the nursing facility she'd been placed in and strangled herself on the tubes she was connected to. What a horrible, horrible thing to hear your mother passed from.

Today is not a good day. At least not on personal levels.

On professional ones, we opened our show tonight and the kids did an amazing job, 1 down, three to go.
