I was brought here with the gift to bring joy to others. To make people smile, laugh and be heard. I took up a job to be a joker for their youngest daughter, and every once in a while for the prince as well. And I've had this job for a little more then a few years. The king, queen and eldest prince weren't fond of me. The eldest prince was never fond of me to begin with, but this did not make a difference to me. Because I knew he was the black sheep of the family and always giving the family a bad name. He is also very jealous that the youngest prince is a much better candidate to someday become king then he is. Since my job was only to please the youngest prince and princess, that was my only focus... but why won't they accept me? I always wanted to be a dependent of this royal family, or maybe an adviser. They would always unmotivate me, make me feel like a failure. But their actions spoke otherwise, always inviting me to events and what not. The only reason why I would think I had a chance with these people is because I've seen an outsider become part of the family, but I didn't want that title. The musician married the oldest daughter, and the family accepted him just fine. I thought there would be a Romeo + Juliet tragedy waiting to happen, but with the family taking them for how they are so they could live happily ever after. As me and the daughter remained friends, the king and he wasn't too happy that I was doing my job after hours. Insecure that he would lose his daughter to a peasant of a joker rather then a royal prince of another family, he decided to throw me out of his kingdom. Feeling disrespected, I wanted to know why but he refused to answer me. I walked myself out before he called the royal guards on me. The princess ran after me in tears apologizing for what the king just put me through. I told her not to apologize for his actions, but I was tired of him putting me down. She wanted to follow me to my village so we could escape her protective paradise she called home. The youngest prince took her back home and I felt like I unemployed. My hard working mother told me it was alright, but think that I'm better then that.
Days later I received a message saying "to return to work, my father wants to apologize to you". On my way back I was asking "why would they want me back?" but the other part told me to be thankful I still have a job. The youngest prince had to step out to do some job for his father. During my job, I could tell that my antics weren't working for her. She looked down the whole time, she wouldn't dare to look at me. Then she started sobbing, she told me that her family is tearing her apart. I just stood there and listened to everything she said. The eldest brother stormed into the room and thought something was wrong. With me standing and her sister on her knees crying. He screamed at me asking what did I do to princess? When I replied to him nothing, he wouldn't take no for an answer. Already angry at the world and taking it out on me, I joked about how he secretly brings loose women to the castle when the royal highness is asleep. After that, he attacked me. Unhappy with his blunt decision, I attacked him back. But it wasn't until he felt like he had to dominate that he tried to choke me. You don't want to be known as losing to a peasant do you? After fighting back as much as I could, the princess pulled him back. Angry with her decision, the eldest prince got anger with her then called the royal guards on me. But I went into hiding until the king arrived, the prince told the king his version of what happened. When I personally approached the king, the eldest prince called the guards on me. While the guards were struggling with me, I wasn't going to leave without my "so-called" apology. The king said "OK, I'm sorry" in a tone that felt forced. Then he said "Don't ever come back to my kingdom". The eldest son threatened to have the royal guards kill me if he can't do it himself. I left to village, bruised but my head was high. The youngest brother ran into me and asked me what happened and I told him exactly what happened. Meanwhile, the queen was furious with princess. Asking "Why did you defend that peasant?! We never asked him for anything!". The king on the other hand, was having second thoughts about what happened. He said he was sorry for what he put me through, that he thought I wasn't good enough for their beloved daughter. Lastly, he said he would accept me to his royal family. But the princess made a decision that would catch him off guard, she banished me from the kingdom. Never to step foot to this place again, and the king asked "Why?!" she replied "if you never liked him before, you'll never like him now. Don't do this for me." then with nothing to say, he silently walked away. When I got back to the village, my mother and brother was in disbelief. But why was I smiling? Because nobody could take me down. The next morning I became sore, jobless and less angry then I was before. I get a knock on my door, and it was the princess and the youngest prince. With belongings by their sides, they told me: "Let's start over". Before accepting their offer I couldn't help but laugh. Then they asked: "Why are you laughing?", I replied "for this joker, laughter is the best form of revenge".
