Oh What Fun
It seems my last "regular" post was over 2 and a half years ago! I'm lucky I managed to get back in my account again; more on that in a moment. To try to be brief, let me summarize life with bullet points.
As for not getitng back in... I received an email some time ago abut my password being old. Without any rpeort of a data breach, I dismissed it because - let's face it - changing passwords can be a hassle when it's not needed. Last week, I got a second reminder saying if I didn't change my password within five days, it would be automatically reset for me. Two days later, when I planned to change it, I had an e-mail waiting saying it had been changed.
Two days is not five days, folks 🤬.
Thankfully, I got it changed, but there appears to be a security rule in place that temporarily locks someone out after a password reset. I decided to try logging back in today with my new password, so here I am.
If anyone on my friends list still reads here, feel free to let me know. I'll admit I don't write here anymore for a number of reasons. But I'd feel better knowing at least one person still checks LJ out from time to time.
- I'm still working at the same place I've been.Between COVID-19 and other things, I'm trying to do what i can to plan for the future as best I can and as circumstances allow.
- I'm working from home, thankfully, while my state's COVID-19 restrictions are in place and checking in at the office three times a week. I'm very thankful for this.
- I finished my eighth year officiating basketball. My fourth year of softball and seocnd year of basbeall never came to be as all spring sports were canceled here. It also looks like many, if not all, summer sports may be canceled as well. So much for trying to make extra money this year or looking to work summer ball.
