I know this feeling well! Duncan can build a house if he had to. Mechanics are naturally gifted with the ability to repair just about anything in a house. As for me, well, when it comes to home repair, I'm the anti-Bob Villa! *laughs*
Might need to kidnap Duncan and keep him in the extra room for all the household repairs. ;)
The bummer part of all this is I do have the desire to learn. Problem is I can't combat the time and learning curve to fix household emergencies that are beyond the basic levels. If I was relied upon to solve a household wiring emergency, we'd probably be without power for a week or more as I feel my way around.
