Sorry most of y'all, but while it seems like the rest of the world is getting drilled hard by winter, it's been nothing but spring-like here since about the middle of January. Looking ahead, the rest of the week looks like the weather's only going to get better.
That means it's time for me to get out and barbecue!
Cleaned out my grill completely over the weekend and have already abused it over the last 3 days, with another grilling project (chicken) coming up tonight. Last night it was rib eye steak and lobster tails, on sale at my local supermarket. I really prefer grilling because it minimizes the clean up work inside the kitchen. Now that I actually have a tiny sliver of daylight to work with when I get home and clear weather to work with, there really is no reason for me to delay my Great Outdoor Cooking Adventure™ any longer.
Gas? Phhh!! We work with mesquite charcoal here inside a Char-Broil smoker! Quick cooking time without all the drying out. Had it since last year and its already worth the money put into it. Hopefully I don't abuse it so much this summer that it ends up a slag of molten metal by September!
Ah well! Chicken tonight, maybe lamb kebabs sometime later this week? This is going to be tasty! :)
