I don't respect the opinion of a 'music journalist' who hasn;t heard of Konono No1. Or at the very leasted researched the album's bacjground to find out who they are, rather than make a stupid comment about them.

Although, they are like, foreign so why should we know about them?

(!!!!!!)

Also, it's one of those reviews that just tells you which tracks to download at the end, which is killing the tradition of albums. Twat!

I know!!! LOL and all he listed for download were the two singles, it sounds like he hasn't really listened to the album at all (if he did he would probably put Wanderlust and Declare Independence as the two to download).

And yet another person who doesn't like Medulla - wtf????

Innocence is by far my least favorite song on the album! This guy is just making snarky comments which make him feel self-assured. I can't wait for the singles though, there's great possibility for some amazing remixes and b-sides.

What a toss.

I can't stop listening to Volta over and over (I downloaded it all; sue me{Actually, please don't}but man, it's good) and I can't decide what my favourite track is. I make up my mind on what I like the most, but then another track runs on top of it.

Volta is way up there on my favourite Bjork album list!

Yeh I reckon! I mean I still think it's way too short (10 tracks :() but yeah are some superb tracks (Hope, Wanderlust, VBV).

Wanderlust is my favorite, followed very very closely by everything else, and then Innocence at a far behind, right next to Holographic Entrypoint.

Innocence has great vocals, but the Uh and sniper sounds are just dumb... nothing a remix can't fix.

Holographic Entrypoint is from DR9. Although I can certainly see the parallels. Vertabrae by Vertabrae is Hunter Vessel with lyrics right?

Which brings us to Antony 'and the Johnsons' Hegarty, aka 'Supplier of Pissed-Up Pub Singer Theatricality' - his pseudo-castrato flights on the operatic 'Dull Flame of Desire' and the minimal lament 'My Juvenile' suggest that Vic Reeves has wandered into the studio.

LOL WHAT

Bjork shouting through the lumpen 'Declare Independence' ('don't let them do that to you') is like watching Teletubbies with a headache.

I do agree with this. :P

It is strange that this review has such a negative slant, yet he gave the album 4 out of 5 stars?

Perhaps we're just not getting his "humor."

It's actually kind of refreshing to read a review by someone who doesn't mindlessly worship everything she does. He has some legitimate criticisms--especially her lyrics.

I like that he separated her into categories. I prefer Fun Bjork. Art Bjork can turn into a whale and swim away for all I care.
