Been here for about 3-4 days now and I gotta say that this nation is probably one of the most paranoid one in the world.
An innocent Icelander such as I, carrying a camcorder into malls and just public places cannot pass a day without getting "busted" by security or a police officer.
The 4th time was today, I entered Wal-Mart Superstore, there was no sign by the entrance that filming was illegal, so as I was inside there and had filmed some of the store, the store manager sent a police officer on me telling me to immediately stop my video camera.
I find it very rude the way people react to tourists holding a camera, recording stuff to remember their trip, nothing else.
I will not stop using my video camera because of this, I just won't.
I'm not using the material for anything but personal use and my own entertainment.
This paranoia has made me think twice regarding everything (þið vitið hvað ég meina).
I hope you are all good and not eating as much fast-food as I'm doing.
Hlakka til að sjá ykkur.
Hugs,
Bjöggi.
