Just lay awake at 7am, the day after his birthday. Brian lay asleep beside him as Justin silently crept from the sheets half dressed, to the shower. His cleansing left him feeling less guilty after seeing Ethan. The water hit his head just hard enough to ripple the skin on his cheeks. Before turning the water off, and patting himself dry, he would pray he didn't wake his company. Justin would grab his portfolio, a CD, and venture off to another day of higher education being paid for by Brian.

"Mr. Taylor?", complained a fellow student in his Color Theory Study class, "Are you planning to turn that in?".
Justin would look down to a blank paper, and sniffle his nose, not replying. Leaving class early and intentionally, he would pass through the music wing to hear his latest muse, Ethan Gold, practice 'Pre Ludio' once more. Only barely peeking his face through the doorway for a quick glance, he scurried off before changing classes.

Brian would wake at around noon, and look at the empty space beside him, before fixing a nutritional shake for his morning nurishment. There was a knock at the door, and it wouldn't be the first time in the past 12 hours, either. Brian would yell "Fuck Off" before actually opening the door and seeing Daphne's smiling face.

"Hi, Brian!", she said with an exhilarating jump to the last syllable of 'Brian'. His response was barely a nod and a roll of the eyes before he would let her inside. Her eyes would widen each time she would step foot inside his Pittsburg-famous dream-loft.
"Where is Justin, anyway?", she asked with a slight arc to her eyebrow.
"He's in class, you know... the highly acclaimed art school that I, Brian Kinney, so generously offered the gentleman in question.", he said followed by a contemptuous smirk.
"Still? He told me he'd be having this week's classes out an hour or two early... something that has to do with his instruc...", she rambled but Brian didn't seem to listen to the rest of what she had to say.
His defiant sneer turned into a scowl as he gathered that Justin intentionally was avoiding coming home.

Justin would sit below the window of the music room, in the courtyard wearing Brian's coat within a close proximity to violinist Ethan, sketching him in more than "five variations", with every twist and turn of his body. His surroundings became a blur, and his vision... crystal clear, for the only thing worth seeing at this point was his subject. Fixated on his paper he did not notice two figures nearing his feet. He looked up, startled and then let easy knowing it was Daphne... and Brian. Brian looked as if he was dragging Daphne by her ear. Justin would shuffle with his sketchbook before closing it and greeting the encountering friends.

"Hi, Daf. What are you two doing here?" Justin asked, standing up.
Daphne would start, "We were just--"
"We just wanted to come see our little Picasso, since you have the beautiful afternoon off", Brian said with a straight face.
Justin smiled and looked to Daphne.
"Actually, I was just going--"
"--to lunch", Brian interrupted again, his face not changing, "Well, we musn't interfere, eh Daf?".
Daphne faked a smile as Brian walked off.

Daphne came closer to Justin, "What just happened?", she asked.
Justin would look up to the window, not replying.

Brian, skipping yet another night of Babylon, sat at home looking at a CD case left by Justin's workspace. Slowly he would pick the case up before darting it against his newly sponge-painted wall, leaving the jewel-case shattered, but not broken.

Feedback is cool, it's my first Fanfic.
