Hannah, Clara, and Emily gave this to me at the end of camp (they'd intended to give it to me at the end of the school year).

The card on the bottom reads:
Hi BJ!

So we thought that it would be an interesting life experience for you to live a week -- ONE WEEK -- without technology (like personal stuff = computer, phone, ipod...) So, it's obviously you're choice to decide exactly what happens, but the main point is that everytime you want to do something that requires technology, you've got to try to do it without first. Like play guitar instead of listening to Justice, for example. It's not a hippy-dippy-guilt-stuff-white-people-like-punishment--it's more a challenge for the brain. When we do things the same way forever, we like to break the cycle to see if a hole rips through the space fabric continuum. Maybe you can try this right after Detroit Techno Fest, as a means to go "cold turkey." Emily
