Think about what you're asking me...

Rome's been really great so far. The first day, I went through a small, "oh my gosh, what have I gotten myself into," but now I'm adjusted for the most part. The first couple of days, several people had to stay at our apartment, because somehow, after all the drama of talking to agencies at the last minute, we were the only ones responsible enough to have a place when we arrived. Not only did we have a place, but we ordered a van to come pick us up at the airport to avoid the hassle of cabs and trains. Our apartment comfortably beds five people, but we had ten staying their one night. Eventhough our apartment isn't that glamorous, it does have a nice homey feel to it, that you can't quite put your finger on.

But even with that said, there's a great possibility that I will be moving into another apartment. either that, or my current apartment will go through some great improvements. It's actually very nice how here in Italy, or at least Rome, there's always room for negotiation, you always have a chance to have the last word. The apartment we currently have is okay, definitely enough room, but it could be a lot nicer. It's a bit old, banged up in some places, and there's a slew of things that need to be fixed or bought. We've already talked to the agency, and they seem at least receptive to buying a bunch of stuff to make the place cuter, like new paint for the walls, rugs, towels, new bed sheets, etc; all of which would be on their tab! The best situation would be that they would relocate us to a new place, a better place, as it would be an inconvenience to both us and them to have to buy all new stuff. I don't want to have to wait, possibly leave my apartment, while they paint, and who knows how long they'd pittle around before buy all they stuff they say they will. I guess none of this would be an issue if it weren't for seeing other people's apartments in the last couple of days, and realizing how little we are getting for our money. Either way, we'll end up with a new place or a much cheaper, and cuter, current apartment.

that's all for now, i'm at a cafe and don't want to spend too too much.

ciao bella

roma
