Weightloss update

May 04, 2004 11:03

My weigh in day was Sunday, but I had spent all night vomiting and then slept all day Sunday so I didn't get on the scales. However my weight on Saturday morning was 65...another 1 kilo loss for the week.

I feel terrific at the moment. I walked yesterday and I plan to do another one today. Last week I only walked once, but I am concerned that if I keep losing I will get too flabby with no exercise and toning, so I will try and increase what I have been doing.

A month or so ago I was desperate for some new jeans seeing as all my 12's no longer fitted. I went to Myer and tried on some Urbane jeans in a 14 from the petites section. Perfect length and fit and I loved them. They were $69.95 but when I went to pay for them they came up as $24.95. I couldn't believe the bargain! Now I wish I had bought some 12's as well, because when I put them on on Saturday they were so baggy around the waist that they looked dreadful.

I always lose weight off my waist first, so while they don't fit arond there they still fit ok around the bum and thunder thighs. I tried some of my 12's on (I have 5 perfectly good pairs hanging in the cupboard), and they are still too tight on my legs for my liking. Soon I will be in them though (how's that for positive thinking!)

I would love to be 64 for Mother's Day...what a great gift for myself...5 kilos of fat gone.

Got the kid's fee statement for the term yesterday and it's just under 600....wowsers! I wonder if that is what it will be every term? Last term was a pro rata fee as they only went for the last 3 weeks, and it came in around $370 from memory. Thank goodness I have been putting money away for this.

Lee and i discussed it last night and we are still so very happy with the new school and the decision to move them. The kids are thriving. It's hard to judge with Britt seeing as she had just started kinder, obviously she is doing 100% more work than the old school.. but Blake is the one we have noticed the difference with. His reading has improved tremendously, as has his number. He has got some of the timestables down pat now. The main difference we see daily is his enthusiasm and approach to reading and homework, which is so positive compared to the last couple of years.

Time to get moving. I'm off down the road as Blake needs a disposable camera for his excursion to the airport tomorrow.
