Long awaited Birthday Update

Funk reminded me the other day that I had neglected to give my birthday update via LJ so here it goes!

I had a great birthday celebration. It started on Friday (of course!) with a Ladies Night with few of my gal pals. We went to this great little craft studio to make pearl necklaces (it also happened to be wine and cheese night). After, we went down the street to the Joshua Tree (it's a bar that happens to have great food) and had some apps and drinks and after that we went out dancing. We went to this total white kid nerd bar that plays top 40 stuff and new wave so it was glow stick free and there weren't too many sleaze bags.

Saturday I went to Border Cafe which is a fun little Tex/Mex place in Harvard Square that also happens to have great margaritas and cheesy country music. About 13 people showed up...I felt very popular:) After that we trekked back to Davis and went to one of my favorite bars, The Burren, for drinks and Irish music. At about 12:30 some of us went to another bar while others went home. I lasted at bar #2 for 1 drink and then told Paul that we had to leave. I didn't get sick but it was a close call. The room was spinning that night! On Sunday we woke up to about a foot of snow and by the end of the day had close to 24". Good times!

For my actual birthday Paul picked me up from work and we went downtown. He told me a few weeks ago that he had made plans for that night and to clear my schedule. We had some cocktails at a bar and then went to the Top of the Hub. It's a very nice restaurant in downtown Boston that's on the 52nd floor of the Prudential building and overlooks the city. He also had flowers delivered to my office (my favorite, tulips) and got me a new TV remote because mine broke about a month ago and I've been complaining about it ever since :)

All in all it was a wonderful birthday celebration!

Now all my focus is on St. Patrick's Day - woot woot!
