Update part 2.
My last post was cut short because while I was typing it I was getting ready for Promyvion-Vahzl, which my permy party and I won ^^. Now i'm about halfway to Sea, finally, I can't wait.
Right now I'm in a party in Yhoator Jungle leveling up my RedMage (oh joy), but the servers have been fucked with all day and were having trouble finding 2 people to fill out my party.
But anyways, something that has been bothering me lately is a few weeks back I saw one of my old female friends from back when I was leveling my BLM in Quicksand Caves in Jeuno was we started talking and whatnot. I'm not gonna say her name out of common courtesy. Well, talking led to flirting led to *other* things ;) And we virtually became boyfriend/girlfriend in-game. I even synthed her a signed Lilac Corsage. She even wanted me to marry her ingame. We talked on Teamspeak and stuff all night, Camped NMs, I hung out with her more than I have anyone else in this game.
It was a blast, Ive never had more fun so far in the 2 years Ive been playing this game. Not that i'm big on having a make-believe relationship with someone over the internet, hell I have a girlfriend in real life and she's cool and all, but having one in-game made the game much more enjoyable for me. But, this "relationship" was cut short unfortunately. It seems that she had an in-game boyfriend before me and all the stuff we did was just her playing me because her other relationship wasnt going so smooth. But now everythings all fine and dandy with her and her "partner in crime" as she put it one night and I'm finding myself sitting alone in Jeuno ; ;. Despite all that I still consider myself friends with her. All I can do is shrug it off and maybe hope someone else comes along. Even though I may not be big on make-belive relationships like I said before, getting married to someone in-game is something I would really like to do before I quit the game (which wont be for a *very* long time), why? because I think its fun, and having fun is the most important thing to me when it comes to FFXI.
It sucks, but life goes on, theres plenty of females that play this game, hell theres still some I really like. Here's just a few:
Anitia - I met her in Qufim island one day when I was leveling my Ninja, we had fun in our party and she seemed like a cool player, so I added her to my friendslist. Since then we've hung out on many occasions. Done some Quest and some AF coffers. One day she had to temporarily quit the game because she had to do some work in the Navy, and was gone for an entire year. She just recently came back though ^^ On Monday she logged in again and we talked, I ended up helping her on Mission 5-1, but I was so glad to see her again.
Tanima - Tanima was one of the first people I added to my friends list. I met her in Korroloka one night in a party for my Red Mage, along with her friend Mykaella, unfortunately Mykaella has quit the game for good ; ; but I wasnt as close to her as I was with Tanima, weve hung out in the towns alot and liked to chat. We did a few of the seasonal quests like the Halloween and this summer's Sunbreeze festival. Right now she's going to school and her PC is not working right, her roommates also play the game, but she cant log on full time until she gets a new PC, which according to her roommate wont be very long ^^.
Trisha - Dont remember her very well but she was from one of my original linkshells, she just recently got back onto the game, but weve been chatting off and on lately. But she seems like a real cool person.
Elliana - Elliana is one of my better friends in this game, weve chatted a lot in game and even on Teamspeak, only problem is her main character is Triskal, and is a male :O. Also she probly has a following of other boyfriends so I probly dont stand a chance with her, lol ^^;.
Grlgamer - Grlgamer was one of my favorite linkshellmates when we were in HeavensEdge. I always wave and say hi to her whenever I see her in Jeuno. We've chatted on a bunch of different occasions. But, she also probly has a following of other boyfriends so I probly dont stand a chance with her as well. ; ; lol.
Theres also a few others Ive seen around that I like but its either I dont know them that well, theyre taken already, or I dont know if they are *really* female in real life, but I'm a very patient person. Hopefully one day I meet the person i'm looking for so I can enjoy the game as much as I have before.
