Should perhaps explain my unexplained absence. As of last post, I was enrobed in the infectious excitement of purple lights and a dead pope. The giddiness was in such a heightened state that I hooked up with a band of anti-PJP revelers and went on a two month cross-country bender. It was great, we spread the love like nutella on toast (seamlessly and deliciously) and only got into a mild turf war with a rival cult. Blasted Amish, they think they can mess with us. No, no, I love the Amish and the Mennonites-they my peeps, yo'. Not so crazy about the Mormons, but so long as they don't try to polygamy my ass, it's cool. So, yes, we traveled round in a pimped out flat bed truck, had foam dome contests and sign bashed along the way (in your honour, Als). Good times were had by all, rehab was fine, and now it's time to get back into the groove.
So, less schizo, non-fictitious abridged version of the past two months...
Had a bitchin' good time in Ottawa with Papa. Partied hearty, went to the photo gallery museum (so-so exhibit that had great documentary style-pics from the 60s), ate well. Highlight was the dinner at parliament that we were there for. It was hosted by the speaker of the house who was really cool, food was good, everybody drank lots. We had after dinner drinks in the house of commons, violated Paul Martin's desk and snatched some "memorabilia."
Got super sick which was totally unfun. It was narsty and I deferred one of my exams as a result. On the plus I was on some antibiotics that were different from my normal kind and they were awesome.
Trib party aka the night of a thousand highs aka drunk journalists abound. Ruined many a shirt, charmed many people.
Had a visit from mumsy.
Got hair cut . Tonic remains, in my opinion, the awesomest Montreal salon.
Took and finished first summer course. Mad fun, easier than regular classes, way more interesting. You actually don't mind working for your A. Have since started my second (and possibly third) one. Yay! Summer school!
Have had a zillion meetings regarding handbook and Trib. Doing work on both, only mildly stressful.
Hitting up bellydance all the time. LOVE IT (as usual). Was asked to be in a charity show at l'orage, the infamous swingers club. Unfortunately, had to study that night so I missed out on shaking it for the unattractive pervs who shave each other in glass showers. Alas and alack.
Read a couple of books for fun (all on American political scandal), rented some movies, gone out a bit...
I think that summarizes it. There's also some sleeping, cooking and other stuff, but we'll leave at that for now.
Have finally gotten hooked on coffee, which I never ever thought would happen, though this could just be one of my food phases. But only in the morning, only with cream and sugar and only starbucks french roast. Good to see that selectiveness (not pickiness, Johnny Cakes insists) always remains a variable in my grand scheme of things.
Coming up, a whole slew of meetings and appointments, slaving for the SSMU, school and possible romps to Quebec City and/or Vermont. Woot!
Summer life in Monty is great fun, the weather is nice, though a little hot for the sensitive, see-through set-cough, cough, me.
And with that, I am off to take up drinking and and anti-poping all over again. Loves to all 'yall, except for those bitches I hate. As the saying goes, sleep with one eye open. That way you can watch as I cut you.
