Continuing with the whole theme of having the wildest time of running into people whose company I enjoy, that's been happening time and again over the past couple weeks. Kim not only wrote back via face to tha book today, I also bumped into her on stupid AIM and we chatted for a while. That was pretty groovy. We haven't actually had a conversation in just, well, a declenchun. So good times there. Good good times. Also I went to get gas in my car yesterday and ran into Chachi. We didn't talk much, because it's a gas station and no one wants to be there long, but we said hey. Then after my jaunt to Owen's Beach, which is becoming a daily thing, I got home, and popped back on AIM and D'Ann was there.
Normally I'd totally wuss out and just be trapped in between my inability to talk to her (do to self-loathing and lack of confidence) and my fear of looking rude by signing off without saying anything. Today though, shook out of my comfort zone by the veritable parade of crazy recent happenings, starting with seeing Heather at alumni and including finding Brittany's myspace, hearing from Kim twice in a day, Karin agreeing to hang out, and drunk Deidre giving me her number at the beach, I did the unthinkable and started a conversation. We talked, and it was good. She gave me her address and her e-mail address, so now I can keep in touch if something occurs to warrant it. Something more than just missing her presumabely, seeing as how I miss her all the time and we know how much I'd hate to write all the time. I'm trying very hard not to revert to sophomore year of high school. With varying degrees of success.
I suppose that's all for tonight. I got a confirmation e-mail from Eddie Bauer saying that they received my application, I'm rather doubtful about whether or not I'll be hired there, but it'd be groovy if I was. I've gotta check the classifieds to try and find an entry level position in the field. Also I should really start working on a book, apparently there are publishing companies out there that are just resting on their laurels looking for the next big thing.
