I did end up calling Kim yesterday, and I got her answering machine. Then I left what was one of the worst messages I've ever left in recent memory. You see, I was kinda scrounging around my room looking for these dvds I wanted to return to Matt. I eventually found them, but during the search I started fixing my collection and while I was doing that the answering machine picked up. So I kinda just stopped paying attention to what I was saying and I'm fairly certain that there were just long pauses as I pulled dvds out of the wrong cases and plopped them into the right ones. You see, when I want to watch a movie generally I know what movie I want to watch, and that knowledge pays no respect to whatever movie I just watched. So when I pull the most recently watched movie out of the dvd player to put in the one that I want to watch I often don't bother to hunt down it's case instead opting to put it in the recently vacated case of the movie that I'm about to watch. After a few months a lot of movies will be in the wrong cases, but it can be a fun little game to put them where they belong. In the end it turned out that the dvds I were looking for weren't in cases, but in sleeves on my floor underneath all of the cases. Sigh.
After leaving the crappy message I got online and she got on too, and I was like, I left a bad message, but we should hang out. We didn't make any plans, but, well... Yeah. Presumably we will be making plans before long. Which would be super. Of course, I still don't have a firm time for when I'll be hanging out with Karin either, and Jenn hasn't given me a day to look forward too, and Arlene and I definitely need to find time to get at least a lunch before she leaves for her summer adventures. Oh, and I'm planning on visiting Santavorn again sometime. Possibly after I get paid, possibly after the interview on Tuesday. Not sure exactly when.
Speaking of the interview I need to fill out that paperwork this morning so that after work tomorrow all I have to do is take a shower, maybe a power nap, and change my clothes. I wouldn't wanna go in my scrubby work clothes when this is a perfect opportunity to put my business casual wardrobe to work.
I've kinda become smitten with the idea of going to the Sea Grill. I know I'm not a big fan of seafood, but it could be a good time. Supposedly it's really pricey though. El Gaucho also sounds like a fun place, but that menu is really pricey. Like, ridiculously so. Hours wise everything is pretty similar. Pacific and Sea Grill both have a lunch from 11-2. El Gaucho, Sea Grill, Pacific Grill and The Melting Pot all open at 5 for dinner. I didn't include Indochine because I already had a very nice dinner there with Arlene, and I dunno, it's not like "our place" or anything, but I don't really wanna go there again so soon.
