(no subject)
So, I'm moving to Michigan! Sometime in the next month or two, I'm gonna be leaving California.
I'm working right now on some corporate opportunities with Borders, since they're headquartered in Ann Arbor and that's where I'm moving. My parents already bought a house and have put the one they're currently in on the market.
I'm really excited! Everything is moving really fast, but I think it's going to end up being a really positive change. Since San Francisco isn't really doing it for me, anyway... I'm going to miss Kelly and Brittany and Ben and Julie and everyone here a lot (even though I don't see any of them save Kelly nearly as much as I should...I see Kelly every day since we share a bedroom and all). But I know this is what I need to do.
If it doesn't work I could always find my way back...but anyway! Yay I'm moving again!
Here's some things I'll miss:
-All my great friends
-Mumbo Gumbo
-Santa Cruz
-T-shirt weather in March
-No fucking snow unless I want to visit it in Reno
-Reno
-Being able to go boogie boarding on my lunch hour
-Chilling out up at the river underneath the Foresthill Bridge (you can see my favorite party spot in the movie xXx!)
-Ridiculously awesome jam sessions with Ben
-Oddly enough, Los Angeles
-Kelly's dad Alfonz and all the crap that he buys us at garage sales
-Concerts in the park in downtown Sacramento
-Sonic Drive-in
-Taco Tuesday at Del Taco
-Cole's BBQ
-Having a commute that involves being 600-some feet above the beautiful SF skyline
-4th of July with the Curry family
-Giants games
-Frau Dahlberg
There's more stuff for sure... what won't I miss? California's backwards hippie politics for sure. Not being on concert tour schedules half the time. Not seeing Lost for an extra 3 hours. Plus, I'm getting Buddy's pizza, Canada, seeing family more often, Cedar Point. It's all a big trade-off, and it's not permanent if I don't want it to be!
So yes...that's what's happening! To all my California friends who I don't see often enough, I will make sure to get together with you before I leave. I know it's all happening fast, but if I stop to think about it I'll do nothing.
