Ah, man, Aquaman is all OVER the cover of my "Justice League Unlimited" box. This leads me to believe that he will be in JLU a fair bit. Dammit.
I *hate* Aquaman. He's always all, "Surface-dwellers suck because THIS!" and, "I only care about the fate of my people THAT!" and the whole thing just makes me tired. Poison Ivy goes overboard with the eco-friendly stuff TOO but at least she's FUN.
I think I can get behind Green Arrow, though. I've only watched five minutes of the first episode of JLU and, while his power is kind of lame,* it's got enough of a Quiverwing vibe to it that I can let it go. (Besides, I love archery.) And I think, personality-wise, I am going to DIG him, so: yeah, this could definitely be good.
I'm so excited/apprehensive for "The Once and Future Thing" and "Epilogue" I could PEE, though.
(JL THOUGHT: I'd forgotten how creepily terrifying Ace is in "Wild Cards." I mean, seriously, I don't think I've ever seen a not-so-bad bad guy that CREEPY before. Steve Moffat, eat your heart out.)
(ADDITION JL THOUGHT: I forgot how awesome and epically epic "Starcrossed" is. AAAHHH HAWKGIRL I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. ALSO: "BATMAN AND SUPERMAN, BEST FRIENDS FOR-EV-AH" will never stop making me just BRIM with joy.)
(Be back later today with your slightly-overdue
W.T.A., never fear.)
ETA:
NICK STOKES! Nick Stokes as Captain Atom!!! (:hearts:)
(Also AAUUUGHH OHMIGAWD _HUNTRESS_!! HAVE HER ACTUALLY SPEAK AND PLAY A ROLE IN AN EPISODE AND I WILL CRY WITH JOY. :D)
==========
* I suppose those who worship superheroes whose superpower** is a similar arsenal of themed gizmos shouldn't throw bat-stones, but at least Batman can toss out a bollo or a batarang and then get back to flipping and punching without having this giant BOW in his way. I mean I am just saying.
** Except that, as we know, Batman's REAL super power is that he
never gives up.
