Asti and Korbel *fingers crossed* are coming home on Wednesday!! *squee* I so totally cannot wait! CANNOT WAIT. Like...I'm really about to get obnoxious here. You might want to go somewhere else. ;)
I can't tell you how it has been killing me that Jack Travis is all by his lonesome. I got a REALLY NIFTY carrying pouch from www.exclusivelyexotics.com and I've been carrying him around in it every day (he's definitely not as shy as he used to be and he'd much rather explore than be carried around in a pouch :p) but still, I want him to have his own little ratty buddies. So for that reason, and for the fact that I can't wait to meet Asti and Korbel, Wednesday can't get here fast enough.
I'm redecorating the cage in honor of their arrival, too. (They advise redecorating it to make the territory more "neutral" for the new rats and the home rat anyway.) A girl on GooseMoose took me up on my offer to sew me some accessories for my cage in return for cookies and cracker candy. *squee* I'm so excited! Here's what she's made me:

I'm going to use blue felt to line the shelves so that the whole cage will have a real put-together look like this one does:
