Oh hey look, an entry!
An actual entry! :) Mostly I wanna ramble about Once Upon a Time. :)
About Mulan. Yeah, I don't get it. I mean, I SEE the subtext that everyone is talking about, but, up until that single point it's always been Philip she's been mooning over, not Aurora. So left field ahoy. I don't buy it. That scene can easily be interpreted as her wanting to tell Aurora how she really feels about Philip much easier than Mulan telling Aurora how she feels about her. If that was how they wanted me to perceive that scene, there should have been a lot more subtext much earlier than just at that moment.
Also, I can't wait until Rumple realizes that he has not interpreted that prophecy literally enough. Prophecies are notoriously literal. If it had meant that Henry was going to kill him, it would have said so. What it says is that Henry will be his "undoing". "Undoing" doesn't mean 'death' anymore than the 'death' tarot card means death. (It actually means 'transformation' i.e your life will somehow change) What is happening is that Henry is giving Rumple back his soul. He's going to be the undoing of the 'dark one', not Rumple himself. As in, soon Rumple is going to realize he does not need the 'dark one' and he'll become him less and less. In fact, I have noticed this season that when he does do dark magic, he no longer 'turns into' the Dark One. (His face is not changing). I am really loving the way his redemption is happening. It's being very well written.
I still don't buy Regina's redemption. She still feels to me like she's playing an end to a mean. Once she gets her way, she'll be back to being the Evil Queen. She doesn't act or sincerely feel like she's learning anything or growing as a character. To me, when I look at her redemption, Vs Rumple's redemption, his is much more believable and, I think, meaningful.
Also .. I love Tinkerbell. A lot. :)
I work late tonight. (as in until 3:15 Am O.o) Extra Magic Hours tonight, so the park is open until 2am for resort guests. Thankfully I'm stocking tonight, so I'll be in and around the plaza and not having to worry about the registers. Getting better at the registers, but, I'm perfectly happy not being on them. :) LOVE doing the leather engraving though. that's fun! (says the creative in me) At least I'm over at Pirates tonight, which means I'll get to see some of the Fireworks through the open area of the roof. :)
