I need to netflix Dr. Who. I've always heard it's good. I saw part of an episode a few years ago but I didn't have any idea what was going on.

If you are going to get into it, Do so with 11. the new Doctor. Matt Smith is really good!

All you really need to know is The Doctor is a Time Lord. He travels through time and space with his TARDIS (Blue Telephone Box) and he helps planets (Mostly Earth) when they need it. Also He usually has a female companion and once in a while a male one. Also, he never dies, he just regenerates (into a new actor). Beyond that... its self explanatory. :)

Oh, so basically you can start in with whatever season you want? You don't have to start at the beginning?

Nope. Starting at the beginning would mean starting in 1963. :) Each new Doctor is a good place to start. New Doctor new rules tends to be. :)
