Oh I don't KNOW. I went to the doctor on Friday and said, "I'm here to find out if I have strep throat. Because it's been going around. And I'm afraid that, y'know. I have it."

I kid you not. That is what I said. More or less. However, I did not say "PLEASE TEST ME FOR STREP THROAT," and apparently that is what I need to do. You'd think I'd have learned by now to ask for shit absolutely directly OMG. Because they did not test me for strep throat on Friday.

On Friday they asked me all my symptoms and prodded and palpated me, and said "This is a virus, not strep throat. If your fever comes back or you get a sore throat, come back, or even just call in and we'll give you antibiotics."

So I dunno. I'm not a doctor. Maybe they were right. I checked what they said against symptom lists on the Almighty Internet, and it seemed in line with what they said.

So now, vindication, whee. I have strep throat and antibiotics for it. The headache was weird and huge and terrible and frightening. I'm not sure what it was from. Last night, after I took my first antibiotic and codeine, the headache got so bad, I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. And I have had some mutha headaches in my time.

At some point in the evening I threw up, probably from having these two Lardge Drugs in my system without much food in there to cushion them. The headache instantly went away. Thank God. Today I have a tiny little whisper remnant of the headache. I am just going to lie around today. Which is what I've been doing, like, since Thursday of last week. Lying around and sleeping.
