A Luuuuurvely Surprise!
Why bix, you little schemer, you!
The lovely and talented bix recently offered to "lend" me her copy of Audrey Niffenegger's new novel, Her Fearful Symmetry and asked for my address, which I eagerly and gratefully supplied.
When I got home from running errands, a couple of which were stressful and nearly caused me to bust out boo-hooing in public, there was a small Amazon box on our doorstep, of the type they use to send me book for the Vine review program. I thought I was full up for Vine books, but hm, hrph, maybe there was one I'd forgotten about.
I took the box inside, opened it up, and got a shock -- not a Vine selection at all, but a juicy new hardcover of the Niffenegger book.
For a few moments I was confused. Something this potentially big & awesome wouldn't be a Vine selection, and why on earth would bix have an Amazon box and mailing labels......??
And then it hit me.
Yooouuuuuuuu bixlady. Thank you ever so much! What a nice surprise on a day when I really needed a pick-me-up. ::huuuuuuugs::
