Your grandma stories just make me laugh because yours is so much like mine. Sometimes, Grandma asks us to clean her fridge for her.
"Grandma? There's some brown, leaky celery in here. I'm going to throw it, OK?"
"No! No! We can just cut off the bad parts and use the rest in a soup."
"The whole THING is brown, Grandma. It's gross."
"Well, it's mine and it's not gross to me. I'm the boss here, and you will do what I ask. When in Rome, do as the Romans do."
So we chuck it anyway when she turns her back. No one needs to eat the brown celery, cauliflower or runny potatoes (yes, she puts potatoes in the fridge) she's got in there.
I just love your grandma stories. (And I'm still a little shocked that you were going to let her eat that turkey!!)

I know, I don't blame you. I was kinda horrified with myself, too. Admitting that particular detail to all of LiveJournal is my way of punishing myself so I never do such a thing ever again.
I also told my sister about it. She kinda yelled at me.
My grandma can stomach some pretty disgusting things too. But I think its so cute that she seemed to enjoy the grilled cheese sandwich you made for her. You're so good and patient with her.
