So let's say the amount of time left to you to read books is short. Really short. And while speed reading isn't a problem, attention-span (ooo, nap!) is. What do you do?

--Read old favorites one more time (Hi, Nancy Mitford!)
--Re-read Whitehead?
--Check out the lastest "how I spent my year doing X" though this one sounds pretty legit?
--True crime?

There was a lovely cookbook out a few years ago as chef's talked about what they would want for their last meal. So here's a question: Authors and Readers--what's the Last Book You Would Want to Read? Something old, new, techno, sexy, horror, romance, classical, "trashy"?

I am about to get the latest Elizabeth Gilbert because I loved her before she was a phenomena (really, read Last American Man) so that I get one more from her is an unexpected gift. But then there is that pile after her; where yo start? What to ensure I read? Do I order still more?

How would you handle it?
