Track 10...

Nov 30, 2007 22:50

Two great 80s tracks. Two great 80s bands. One great running time.
Don't try dancing to it. It often sounds like Roger Taylor and Mike Joyce are throwing drumsticks at each other. But other times, it sounds like Johnny Marr is playing to Simon LeBon's phrasing.
I'm really far too embarrassed to tell you how many times i've listened to this, but i assure you it never sounds the same twice.
This is something i've been playing with -- off and on -- since September of 2006, never being able to figure out how to make things mesh better. But tonight it occurred to me that it doesn't need to mesh better. It is its dissonance that makes it so delicious. The fact that i haven't made any splices or dices makes the synchronicities all the more compelling.

I hope that you'll have a listen and that you'll enjoy it. (Bonus points to anyone who can tell me what the letters in the title stand for!)
