We'll see. Sometimes it's good to get the newbies ... but, like Steve, she might discover after a short time that drivin' a cab isn't for her. I'm also training another guy tomorrow -- Randy. He has driven a cab before ... for about 8 months, and that was many years ago. He has also worked on the oil rigs ... so i'm thinkin' he won't be too impressed with the cab business either.
I just wish i could find some stability before i leave for Ontario next month -- i'll be gone for 8 days and i'd like to know that everything will be fine in my absence, ya know?
Wow, that sucks. Sorry you're having this run of luck with shifty asses. Hopefully Judy will be up for it and will work out. And is she doesn't start, I say you find a monkey. I mean, keep enough bananas in the car, and you should do well.
Usually, i think monkey jokes are just stupid, but this made me laugh.
And that's saying something, because right now, i'm all out of sorts, as they say. I trained with Judy from about 5am until 3pm today. I have to pick up a trip in the morning at 4:30 at Silver Star, so the plan was to have something to eat, watch a little TV and go to bed around 5/5:30 tonight so that i could get up around 1/1:30 in the morning, eat some breakfast, check my mail and stuff, and head out the door around 3:15. But, here i am awake -- 11:50pm. I got to bed around 5 ... and woke up around 9:40 ... and haven't been able to get back to sleep. Ugghh! My alarm is set to wake me in an hour and a half. I'm hoping that if i spend a little time here on the computer i might be able to get back to sleep for another hour or so. I have to run three trips from Silver Star to the airport this morning ... and start training another new driver!
good grief indeed. WTF is going on. You are a good person these things shouldn't happen - or should they? is the world trying to prove that bad things do happen to good people. maybe we should both quit our jobs and start a business together. I mean if we're gonna starve why not do it together?! of course you would have to move to vancouver or toronto!! i love you and hope things get better. a
Thanks little sister, but no point in us both goin' down in a ball of flames -- aren't things goin' alright for you? You're not starving, are you? Well, if you are, i hear there's gonna be a sweet spread on June 17th. And what's with the "or Toronto" stuff? Please, no entertaining of that, okay?
