This has probably been one of the best Summers of my life.
I've been out of school for over 3 months, 3 months plus a few weeks, which is the longest break I have ever had.
There were the weeks that I got to go swimming everyday.
I have a pretty mean freestyle and a decent breast stroke.
There were also the weeks that I played my ukulele till 3 am every day.
The evening that I wrote my first song.
The week that I working on bikes during the day
and riding them at midnight.
(Riding to the beach as well)
Let us not forget the reading.
I managed to fill up another bookshelf of books that I have read.
In addition to several more gigs of photographs, which a photo blog slowly in the works.
Other things that I am somewhat proud of would be
that I graduated at the top of my class, including graduate students.
My thesis grade was in the 99th percentile.
And in a week or so,
I get to start a great job that pays $5500+ a month
to do what I love to do.
But what I am most proud of
is that I was able to buy my mom's groceries,
and my little brother a laptop,
and dad an unlimited supply of wd-40 and motoroil.
And just like that, I get to follow in the footsteps of my brothers
and sister, and I get to take care of the family.
I rediscovered the ground upon which I stand.
And it feels good.
