Trekking Again
Saw Star Trek again last night! WOOT!
STILL AWESOME! Still love Chekov! Love Spock more! Still think Uhura is useless! :)
Still think that the cliched plot (man loses wife, man goes crazy, man uses time travel to get revenge) has been done to death in Star Trek (Khan [although it wasn't just about his wife], Annorax on Voyager, Soren in Generations [sorta, I know that's stretching the "time travel" bit, but bear with me], probably various other episodes of any of the series), and without the time travel bit for other movies: Death Wish, The Crow, Quantum of Solace, Straw Dogs, etc., etc., etc.
Anyway, that's about the one plot point thing that I can complain about. Even the red matter I can swallow, even the fact that one tiny drop can eat a planet, but the entire glob in Spock Prime's ship makes a black hole the SAME size and only eats up Nero's ship...not the entire GALAXY, which is SHOULD!
Ahem.

What's that Uhura? You wanted to say it again? Right, because really your only reason for being is apparently to let all the fanboys and fangirls out there knwo that the Star Trek they know and love still exists, and JJ Abrams isn't destroying canon, just making a new one. Thanks, what else? Oh yeah, they needed someone who could understand all three dialects of Romulan. Oh, what else? Right...they needed a bra and panties shot. Thanks. Move along. So not a fan of the Spock/Uhura ship. Sorry, can't help it. Just not for me.
Totally fell in love again with Chekov. And Bones STILL steals every scene he's in. Yes. Eomer, well done! And after a second look, Chris Pine/Kirk is hotter than I originally thought. :)
