Odds and ends
So, I haven't posted in a while. Too busy at work. The Christmas season and all. I don't get why it's offensive to those who don't celebrate Christmas to have a Christmas tree up in a public place, and to wish people "Merry Christmas". It's not implying you're Christian. A lot of non-Christians celebrate Christmas, and why wouldn't they? It's become so commercialized! Those who don't subscribe to a certain faith can still celebrate the statutory holiday...there are TWO main "themes" to Christmas: 1)For the Christians - the celebration of Christ our Lord, and/or 2) the joy of family and friends, giving and good cheer. Take away number one for all those who don't believe in Christ, and what's so wrong with number two??? At work, last year, we were told to say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" in order to avoid offending anyone. Screw that! I up and said "Merry Christmas" and NO ONE seemed offended at all. In fact, to flip THAT around, if I'm Christian, wouldn't it be offensive to ME to tell me "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas"??? It's all so silly. This year, the same thing, but I find customers don't get upset, they'll either wish me a Merry Christmas right back, or reply with "Happy Holidays". SO...what's the big deal??? If it's that offensive, the whole season shouldn't be called "Christmas time" or whatever, it should be "Non-denominational holiday season". :P
So..happy Non-denominational holiday season everyone! I hope you have a love-filled one. Be safe and be smart. So let's phase out "Christmas" and keep right on ignoring gun violence, domestic abuse and child abuse, etc. Because...hey, nobody wants to offend anyone!!!

Next rant. ;) Leafs lost to Florida, 7-3. Say what!? They apparently used up all their goals on the Rangers. Hmmm..where have we seen THIS before??? Possibly when they handily beat Washington and then went on a seven game losing streak. Ah nuts. :( Oh well. All we can do is wait and watch. Go Leafs!

I've been playing phone tag with the Director of Production at Stratford. I think my dates are earlier than I thought. I may be gone from early March instead of mid-to-late March now. Suddenly, I feel like I'm running out of time.

Speaking of phones, I'm getting a new one from FIDO. It's a RAZR or whatever. Cool. I'm finally entering the 21st century!
