How does one cook black pudding?

a link to this unfortunate poster (on our intranet but also available I believe to the citizens of Leeds) tells me I too can go learn how to cook what looks to me like raw pizza and burnt toast with Jamie oliver at Leeds market.  This reminded me I have 2 slices of black pudding in the fridge (I won a "meat pack" in a raffle.  Bikers they know what prizes to offer...) and no idea how to cook them.  Would black pudding that's been in the fridge for 5 days be edible and if so how does one cook it?*

*or to be honest do I want to?  I realise that never having knowingly eaten black pudding at my age may seem bizarre but it's never occured to me it might be something i'd consider edible because it's only ever been offered with sausage at breakfast.  Sausages cooking generally smell so foul to me that I haven't ventured into the world of their accompanyments...and while I'm at it I probably need telling how long to cook it for since I'm not going to have a clue what raw/part/fully cooked would be like without that info...
