So...the Christmas bug is already biting and I am getting wrapped up (haha) in the usual Christmas excitment. It just came a lot earlier this year for some reason. I already started calculating my budget for gifts, surfing the web for a few good hints to give to people, and picking out recipes for holiday cookies. The biggest project however is not picking out a tree, tackling the mall, or praying you got the right gifts for everyone. Some people make mixed tapes for crushes, lovers, etc. I make mixed cds for my dad, every Christmas. No, I'm not that cheap. I do get him something real too. But, he always loves the cds. In fact, last year my mom said it was his favorite gift.Nothing quite says thanks for all the years of being a good dad like making that perfect cd. He is always thankful to still have an in to local bands and up and coming bands. I dunno, I think no amount of money can buy a mixed tape made by someone who cares about you.
This year started to make the cd...eh, kind of a challenge since being up on music got thrown on the backburner. So far I have some Bright Eyes, Bloc Party, and The Killers. Any suggestions??
