Since I'm friends with wendy who runs the SPN/J2 big bang, I get to hear allll about her trials and tribulations. They had over 100 stories, so it's a little different, but even so, the idea of spreading them out is to give each fic the attention it deserves. Readers might not like having to wait (although in this case, it's not much of a wait!) but as a writer, having written a big bang? I feel like my fic that I worked on for months and put a lot of time and energy into really got the attention it deserved on its day, when it didn't have to compete with 30 other fics.

I think this encourages people to read pairings and things they might not usually read, either, because they don't really have a cornucopia to choose from.

I can also say from experience that the only popslash challenge I've participated in that I get feedback on that posts all on the same day is SeSa. JuC Swap, remix, and all of those--I think fics end up getting lost in the flood, or else readers are so intent on getting to read them all that they don't bother to provide feedback. Not that I'm worried about feedback for myself, but I am worried that a lack of feedback on big bangs will be a big downer for the writers.

OKAY, I'VE CHANGED MY MIND.

I like this idea best. It spreads the fun out over multiple days, it theoretically gives readers time to leave feedback, and it still gives the NSync people NSync and the Backstreet people Backstreet (at least for a while at first, one would assume the lists aren't going to be split evenly.)

Compared to this, I'm not sure if one list of everything or three lists of not quite everything will make that much of a difference.

I like this idea too. I know I get overwhelmed by SeSa (too many stories! Too little time!), and while we won't have as many stories for this, they are going to be mostly a lot longer. Spreading it out loses the fantastic YAY of everything at once, but it does give people a bit more mental breathing room to read, I think. Hope.

Mlle Bubbleforest, you are extremely brave to be tackling this.
