Airborne in Water Bottle: Check
It was all about the core and upper body this morning. I changed up my ab crunches for some prolonged
plank poses and a lot of leg lowery thingies and then moved onto back and arm strength training, including a ton o assisted chin ups and dips and free weight work. Then hopped on the treadmill for another 30 minutes worth of daydreamy motion. As a Spock-like creature with a solid meditation practice, I tend to stay in the present moment for the vast majority of my day, but I can see the logical benefit of allowing myself some time to let my mind wander where it wants and dream little dreams. While I am on the treadmill, I have decided to allow myself that luxury. Perhaps not surprisingly, most of those 30+ minutes were spent thinking about fighting crime as a superhero and then making speeches to grateful crowds of onlookers. Okay. like you've never done that. Shut up.
One thing I heard on the gym announcement system is the upcoming
108 Sun Salutations Marathon in a few weeks! two and a half hours of doing as many of the 108 prescribed Sun Salutations as you can! I think I'm gonna have to do this! I just need to check my calendar to see if I'm free that day (Saturday 9/26), but hay: 108 is a magical number you know: its the number of the names of God - its also the number of beads on your mala beads (because the aforementioned number of names, natch.) Edit to add: Nope! looks like I'm busy that day hanging with some of my favorite girlies, but I can always try it on my own.
oh, and Jim Bama? somehow snuck past me and set up camp on the elliptical behind me while I was zoning out, dreaming of being KARMA!: The Mechanism of Universal Justice(tm) - so lord only knows how long he was watching my butt as I strode my way through my dreamscape. When I turned off my machine and turned around he was flashing that damn enormously gorgeous grin at me like a sailor at a peep show. heee. that made me blush all the way home. ~giggle~
