Hey! last night after a fantastic drive home with the windows open and the music blaring, I decided to go work out some of my energy and headed to the gym. Its a heckuva lot more crowded at 5:30 in the evening than 5:30 in the morning (but HAY! LOTS OF CUTE BOYS TO INTIMIDATE). It felt fantastic and I'm slightly ouchie in the abs and the shoulders ( Read more... )

I've noticed that about my gym as well. Exercising in the morning before work is probably the better choice all around, but the scenery is much nicer in the evening...

I was at my gym around 6 am this morning and the weight section was almost empty (12 people in the spinning class).

I am pleased to read that you are back into the gym and ninga small. :

I guess it is nice to have cute boys around (doesn't do anything for me) but you missed seeing the handsome man because I was not there. I am humble too. ;)

heee! nicely said :D I'm happy to say that although my gym time was practically non-existent for most of the prior three weeks, it was replaced with a lot of other non-gym physical activity, and the change seemed to make the scale move when nothing else would. But now that vacation and most of work-stress-running around like a crazy person is over (for the time being), I can get back to my beloved gym routine. It keeps me sane when nothing else will.

BTW did you take my advice and get pics and measurements of your ninja body? (No I do not need to see them) I am really curious what you did different in those weeks away. Have you figured out the change? I would suspect diet or a lot of physical activity. Back in 2004 I dropped 5 cm off my waist at Pennsic despite a lot of drinking of beer because I had to walk up the hill at least daily in armour etc.

Pics: no, but measurements: yes.

I've lost an inch around my bust, an inch and a half around my waist, and another inch around my hips. No wonder my pants keep falling off.

I'm not eating a lot - that's the thing I am noticing... and my physical activity is the sort where it is less intense, but of longer duration, rather than the sprinting attitude I use when I go through the gym routine. I think its the sustained efforts that use full body motion that's causing the sudden change in my physiology.

So the calories went down and the full body activity went up. Not surprising you lost so much (3 1/2 inches!)

I am a fan of full body motions for exercise programs especially for fat loss. Probably because the program that I use follows that approach.
